| 2. | Always choose a class according to your level and current body's fitness ability. Even if you are sporty, initially choose a class that is mild and easy to follow so that you don't find it difficult |
| 3. | If you have any previous injuries, health conditions such as blood pressure, heart condition, pregnancy, inform the teacher before the class so that teacher can give you appropriate modification for the postures. |
| 4. | It's very normal to feel aches and pain during the first few classes of your yoga practice. With regular practice it will go away. |
| 5. | Allow at least 3 - 4 hours gap between your meals and yoga practice. Practicing yoga with food inside your stomach and can cause nausea, vomiting sensation and may stretch your stomach leading to over eating. |
| 6. | Never compare your practice and progress with other practitioners as everyone goes through different challenges for various reasons such as food habits and lifestyle. |
| 7. | Keep a small practice routine at home if you cannot attend as class as it will help maintain your flexibility. |
| 8. | Generally, a morning practice will help rejuvenate your body and boost your energy to help keep you active for the day ahead. |
| 9. | Evening practice can help relax and calm your body and mind and induce relaxation. |
| 10. | Don't practice yoga too late at night as it may keep you awake and you will have difficulty sleeping. |
