A very exciting album has been added to the NYCMusic vault, titled Tibetan Mysteries. The album is a field recording that’s performed by the 47 Monks and students of the Dip Tse Chok Ling Monastery in Dharmasala, India and is sung in monophonic chant and is believed to emanate from those who have achieved selfless wisdom. The thunderous blasts from bass drum and brass horns, illuminating splashes from large cymbals and the gentle vibrations of hand-bells invoke the deities responsible for the continued unfolding of creation.

Undoubtedly, this record can shoot chills down ones spine, especially for those who resonate with chants in general. As far as practicing asanas to this album, it’s definitely on a deep meditative experience. Don’t forget to spend some time in your corpse pose on this one!

NYCMusic has provided a free music download offer of the track title, “Prayer of Kala
